Alana & Bryan's
engagement session started in their home in D.C. with coffee, newspapers spread across the table, and Humphrey padding in and out, making for my absolute favorite fur-family portrait. From there, we headed to the Apple Store in DC to recreate one of their early pandemic-era dates, grabbing a bottle of champagne and sitting outside just like when the city felt quieter. We ended at the National Gallery of Art, wandering through the galleries and stopping at their favorite pieces, one being The House of Representatives by Samuel F.B. Morse, stamping a bit of their careers in the world of politics and documenting a few of the places that have come to define their shared rhythm in the city.
