A Method To Ensure You Capture Everything
Photographing weddings is a very seasonal job – almost all of my weddings occur between May and October every year. While this can be hard to get used to, it’s something that I’ve grown to love! During my wedding season, everything is all about my couples, but during off-season, I love to prioritize doing creative work like this studio bridal session with my friend Abby.
Abby was recently married and I loved her reception dress, so we decided to set up a little studio bridal session focused around it. The dress was romantic and offered so much movement, and I knew the cream color would look incredible against this olive-green backdrop. I wanted to add an element that felt like spring, so I picked up a couple of bouquets of tulips at Trader Joe's. We spent the afternoon playing with light, the tulips, and a veil and I’m so in love with how the images turned out.
Benefits Of A Bridal Session
On your wedding day, you and your partner will be focused on your guests and the incredible party you put together, so we want to limit the amount of time that you’re away for photos. There are a lot of feelings swirling around on a wedding day, some nerves and excitement, and we can't always fit ample time for a full on bridal session. If you want to have a more curated look and more relaxed setting for your bridal portraits, a bridal session is another great option. A studio session allows you a plain backdrop that may not be available at your venue, the opportunity to bring whatever props you like, and it’s a great excuse to put your wedding dress on again.
