Allison & Daniel,
eloped on a cold New Year’s Eve morning. When I met them, I quickly realized they were thoughtful, smart, relaxed, and extremely funny. They joked that marriage is a business exchange and kept practicing the handshake they'd use to seal the 'deal'.
Their morning began slowly at the Pendry in Fells Point. They wrote their vows on one of the notepads inside the hotel room the night before; Daniel selected the tie he would wear, and Allison poured some champagne to toast before they both stepped into their wedding outfits and out onto the quiet streets of Fells Point. Allison found her dress on Etsy; the lace sleeves and high neckline were easily my favorite details. We walked to the pier to look out over the water before making our way to the Walters Art Museum, where they danced and laughed through the galleries, pausing to sit and read their vows to each other.
At the courthouse, I was reminded that I’m not just the photographer– I’m the witness too (though not photographed, of course). We squeezed in a few classy Sears poses before they finalized the business deal with a handshake– and a kiss for good measure.
